Mail Service

Correos de Nicaragua (tel. 222-2048, www.correos.com.ni), is the country’s postal service, delivering mail to the far reaches of the country. The government postal service offers a national courier service and a business postal service.

Correos de Nicaragua also rents P.O. Boxes at is various post offices throughout the country. You don’t have to be a resident to rent a post office box, which costs about $20/year.

Letters can be mailed to the United States or other foreign countries from the Post Office, for about $.25. Letters to the United States usually take about 10 days to reach their destination.
